Andrew Miller, COO of Spanish Gardens Foods and grandson of company founder Luis Silva, launched Una Familia as the spirits arm of a multigenerational commitment to authentic Mexican flavors.

History & Heritage

The story begins in the 1950s when Luis Silva established his Mexican food enterprise in Kansas City, building what would become a network including Spanish Gardens, Perez, and Silva's. Andrew Miller, now third-generation steward of the family business, saw tequila as the natural evolution of their mission to bring people together through Mexican tradition. The brand launched in late summer 2021, carrying the banner "Born in Mexico. Raised in KC."

Una Familia partners with Casa Maestri, a Jalisco distillery run by fellow third-generation family owners who blend traditional and modern production methods. The portfolio spans the full tequila spectrum: a crisp, light Blanco for mixing or sipping neat, a Reposado with vanilla and caramel complexity, a rich Añejo, and a smooth Extra Añejo. All expressions start with 100% pure agave distilled in the mountains of Jalisco.
