BIB & Tucker

Louisville, Kentucky · national

Bib & Tucker takes its name from an old American phrase for one's finest attire, and the Tennessee brand lives up to that sartorial standard. Since launching in 2014, this premium bourbon has carved out space in the crowded American whiskey landscape through careful attention to traditional methods and an unwavering commitment to age statements.

History & Heritage

35 Maple Street Spirits founded Bib & Tucker in September 2014, later selling to Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits. The brand draws inspiration from turn-of-the-century America, when all bourbon was produced in small batches. Production takes place in the hills of Tennessee, where the whiskey follows both Kentucky bourbon standards and Tennessee's distinctive Lincoln County Process.

The Whiskey

Bib & Tucker employs a mash bill of 70% corn, 26% rye, and 4% malted barley, double-distilled through column and pot stills before aging in #1 charred American white oak barrels. The Tennessee bourbon undergoes sugar maple charcoal filtration and ages for a minimum of six years. Notable expressions include the 6-Year-Old Bourbon that earned 93 points from Whisky Advocate, plus 10-year and 12-year expressions. Specialty releases like Double Char Bourbon and Gold Roast Bourbon showcase the brand's willingness to experiment within traditional frameworks.

Why It Matters

In an era of non-disclosure statements and mystery sourcing, Bib & Tucker puts age statements front and center on every expression. The combination of Tennessee's Lincoln County Process with extended aging creates a refined profile marked by vanilla, caramel, and wood spice. For those who appreciate transparency in American whiskey, Bib & Tucker represents honest craft without cutting corners.
