A cocktail smoker is a device used to infuse drinks with wood smoke flavor. A glass cloche or chamber traps smoke from burning wood chips — typically cherry, hickory, apple, or mesquite — over or around a finished cocktail. The smoke adds complexity, aroma, and a theatrical presentation. Common with Old Fashioneds and whiskey-based cocktails.
